Q. Where did you get the inspiration for this Dolphin Artwork?

I've been wanting to paint a dolphin, dead on a beach, contrasting childhood and the pending environmental doom for quite some time now, so that's where the inspiration came from. This painting is one of my favorites. I know it's hard to pick your favorite but this painting hangs above my desk in my office. It's an excellent conversation piece, and I think it's the right balance between controversial and decorative. Someone on etsy even left me an angry message in French telling me how awful this painting is. I cherish memories like that.

Q. How were you pushing your boundaries as an artist?

This was challenging because I had to juxtapose different Dolphin images ontop of each other. The Dolphin was actually based off a miniature dolphin which I bought at a toy store.

Q. How does this Painting of a Dolphin on the Beach make you feel?

It gives me a slight chuckle due to the Dolphin's ridiculous tongue, but there is definitely a serious layer to that comedy. The environment is only getting worse. A recent NY Times report by a climate risk analyst for financial firms really paints a horrific picture. Working for a non-profit that was founded by 12 Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, I was surrounded by the gloom of climate change. Even I don't do enough to address the issue. Projections suggest that all life in the ocean will be extinct by 2100. A child, possibly my own child, plays on the beach with a dead dolphin. She innocently asks "Can we keep it?" The ocean is such a beautiful place and its sad to think about how we are destroying it, weather or not it has anything to do with climate change, there are still giant floating islands of garbage, and recently Japan decided to dump a million tonnes of nuclear waste into the ocean.

Framed Original Oil Painting Closed Corner Frame

Closed Corner Colonial Frame

Beautiful Wooden Frame featuring a classic design that evoke the feel of the Colonial age. Based on the very first Plein Aire Frame. This style uses a stepped inner lip to offset it from the painting. The outer edge has a rounded interior and corner with a raised design to give a stacked look. The golden hue is slightly antiqued and has light gray accents. The frame has a 3-1/2" wide face and a rabbet of 3/4". Perfect for virtually any type of artwork that requires classic simplicity with the appeal of age.
Certificate of Authenticity for Original Oil Paintings by Cedric Chambers

Certificate of Authenticity

When it comes to art certificates, there's a crucial factor to consider. Certificates created using common computers and machines can be easily replicated. Many art listings on platforms like eBay feature certificates from online third-party companies, not from the original artist. This poses a significant risk, as anyone could potentially 'certify' artwork, even if the artist didn't create it in question. Safeguarding the authenticity of certificates is vital in maintaining the integrity of the art market.

A certificate of authenticity should be as irreplaceable as the art itself; this tiny detail can help protect against fraud and guarantee that you are getting an original. It can also ensure that you can more easily able to sell your art later on in life without a hitch.

...when I saw your work - the way you have so excellently mastered rendering origami and other objects of immense profundity - I knew I must get in touch with you. The work you are doing, bravo sir. You are what keeps the art world moving forward, so thank you for your contribution. Keep up the great work.

A larger than life painting with larger than life characters. Artist worked hard to complete sale. Cannot fault, will purchase again in future. Paintings look much better in person, photos do not do justice to the depth of artistry. Highly recommended.
