I spend hours meticulously creating something unique, using only the highest quality paints and materials, such as Holbein brand paints, Richeson brand boards, and Aluminum Composite Material. After completion, each oil painting is finished with a UV protective removable Gamvar varnish, which was developed by the National Gallery of Art as an innovative solution to preserving paintings.
Original oil paintings arrive framed and ready to hang via the pictured wooden frame secured by 30lb wire and d-rings. Paintings also include a Certificate of Authenticity attached to the back of the painting. Paintings are professionally packaged and insured during shipment.
Q. Where did you get the inspiration for this piece?
I used to do Origami all the time as a child. I’d make intricate paper animals when I was bored in class. It felt right to make a series of Origami paintings that combined the many avenues of art that I’ve practiced.
Q. How were you pushing your boundaries as an artist?
I learned a lot about painting by painting this series. My previous work was a lot looser. The rigid photo-realistic style for this series further developed my skills as an artist.
Q. How does this artwork make you feel?
Origami reminds me of my childhood. I’m attempting to create something beautiful while simultaneously trying to convey the feeling of something impermanent or fragile.

When it comes to art certificates, there's a crucial factor to consider. Certificates created using common computers and machines can be easily replicated. Many art listings on platforms like eBay feature certificates from online third-party companies, not from the original artist. This poses a significant risk, as anyone could potentially 'certify' artwork, even if the artist didn't create it in question. Safeguarding the authenticity of certificates is vital in maintaining the integrity of the art market.
A certificate of authenticity should be as irreplaceable as the art itself; this tiny detail can help protect against fraud and guarantee that you are getting an original. It can also ensure that you can more easily able to sell your art later on in life without a hitch.
